RAW FOOD LIST
Greetings raw brothers and sisters! (And those thinking and dreaming and working towards raw!)|
As I'm whipping together my lunch, I realized one of my side dishes was so uncommon that I had to share it with you guys. I almost always play the "cobble together whatever's in the fridge" game so this wasn't a planned snack. Like most of my nummy food, it just happened!
Funky Openfaced Sandwich
Homemade raw onion bread (new recipe based on verbal summary given to me by the genius behind Peace Pies which was like 1/3 each of ground flax, soaked sunflower seeds, and sprouted wheat, plus a whole red onion and some salt)
Layer of miso
Layer of red palm oil (it's on sale at Whole Foods! aw yah!)

home sprouted fenugreek
Super fun! Can't say it's delicious, but there are a lot of wonderful textures and flavors and I am digging it.
The rest of my menu so far today is pretty standard. I mean I make up a lot of cool recipes, but it's usually 3-4 pieces of fruit for breakfast and a boatload of veggies for lunch :)
Breakfast = persimmons, banana, valencia orange (oh navels, please come back in season soon!)
Lunch = that wonky bread concoction plus a huge rainbow salad that contains; rainbow chard, lacinato kale, dandelion greens, purple cabbage, summer squash, 1 tomato, green onions, sprouted mung beans, fenugreek sprouts, and alfalfa sprouts. Dressing was, as always, just drizzled in as it felt right. Ended up with some olive oil, red palm oil, lemon juice, horseradish mustard, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt.
So with US Thanksgiving coming up tomorrow, I just wanna remind everyone that you're doing great and Thanksgiving will be a breeze! No matter how you celebrate or what you eat, be kind to yourself and have a beautiful holiday <3
